Summary: As a Software Development Engineer, you will engage in a dynamic work environment where you will analyze, design, code, and test various components of application code for multiple clients. Your day will involve collaborating with team members to ensure the successful implementation of software solutions, while also performing maintenance and enhancements to existing applications. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality code and contributing to the overall success of the projects you are involved in, ensuring that client requirements are met effectively and efficiently. The Security Consultant leads the planning, design, and engineering of enterprise-level infrastructure and platforms related to cloud computing. The Security Consultant work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action. The Security Consultant performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications for on-prem and cloud computing environments. Develops specifications for new IT cloud computing products and service offerings. Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree 5 years of technical experience 3-5 year experience in API security Deep understanding of API security best practices, including OWASP (Open Web Application Security Project) API Security Top 10 Experience with API security tools and methodologies 3-5 years security platform administration Possess in-depth knowledge securing APIs (e.g., authentication, authorization, auditing, rate limiting, encryption) 1-2 years experience with Noname (Akamai), including creating/maintaining Integrations and Engines, Inventory management, Workato recipes, active testing, and firmware upgrades Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams during DataPower administration activities Solid understanding of AGILE principals and methodologies, with experience in the SCRUM and SAFe frameworks Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and documentation skills. Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. - Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in API Security. - Strong understanding of secure coding practices and principles. - Experience with authentication and authorization protocols such as OAuth and OpenID Connect. - Familiarity with API testing tools and methodologies. - Knowledge of common security vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in API Security. - This position is based at our Hyderabad office. - A 15 years full time education is required.15 years full time education
