Summary: As a Database Administrator, you will design, implement, and maintain databases to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Your typical day will involve installing database management systems, developing procedures for daily maintenance, and resolving any issues that arise, all while collaborating with team members to enhance database functionality and security. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems. - Monitor database performance and implement improvements as necessary. - Assist in the development of backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in IBM Db2. - Good To Have Skills: Experience with Linux. - Strong understanding of database design principles and best practices. - Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database issues. - Familiarity with performance tuning and optimization techniques. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in IBM Db2. - This position is based at our Chennai office. - A 15 years full time education is required.15 years full time education
