About the role
This role is part of Accenture Research’s global industry research team with a focus on the Capital Markets Industry, supporting global research needs.
We are looking for a candidate with a passion for strategic research related to capital markets, comfortable contributing with new ideas, exploring and validating new opportunities, and addressing specific business challenges.
A strong understanding of key industry trends and challenges is expected—this includes the full capital markets value chain (from front-office to post-trade), financial value drivers, major industry players, evolving technology and IT architectures, the role of data and AI, and shifting client and investor expectations. An understanding of the cross-industry synergies with banking & capital markets and digital platform domains is a plus, for example Fintech.
Key Responsibilities include:
You will conduct research and analysis to identify key trends and develop insights to drive growth. Your research and analysis will support thought leadership and points-of-view as well as business development and client engagements.

Specifically, you will be responsible for:
Collecting and synthesizing data of major capital markets firms—including financials, market trends, client behavior, and regulatory developments
Analyzing large datasets and interpreting results using statistical techniques and data visualization tools.
Drawing on both traditional and innovative data sources and research methodologies to explore the key research questions in a logical, structured manner.
Developing in-depth qualitative case studies.
Presenting key findings in a structured and concise manner (with focus on insights).
Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analytics and research methodologies.

Your skills
Demonstrated proficiency in business research, statistical analysis, data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI)
Ability to use most (but not necessarily all) research techniques such as secondary database searching, company analysis, market analysis, strategic analysis frameworks, interview-based research and financial analysis.
Ease or openness to working with GenAI tools (e.g., Chat GPT) and understanding their limitations
A high degree of intellectual curiosity in the areas of business, management, and technology
Interest in, and understanding of, the Capital Markets industry and interest in learning about the impact of the major trends and challenges impacting organizations in Capital Markets, including technology, data and AI, security, changing investor behaviors, workforce transformation, ESG.
Strong grasp of data, with ability to analyze, visualize, and interpret.
Ability to synthesize research results into a compelling storyline.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work on multiple engagements across different geographies, simultaneously.
Ability to work on short-term / time-sensitive / high-pressure research needs typically in a global and virtual environment
Clear enthusiasm for research, and willingness to learn and grow.
Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word skills.

Reports to: Research Manager
Supervises: None. This is an individual contributor role
Qualification & Work Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Statistics, Data Science, Economics) is required; completed or in progress Master's degree is preferred.
3+ years of experience in data analytics and research methods, ideally within a business-facing research department, a “think tank” or management / strategy / research consultancy or equivalent skills/experience
Experience in developing business-related content, targeted at senior leaders.
Practical working knowledge of policies making, and business economics would be a plus
Good fluency in both English and Spanish
