Strategy Senior Manager (Accenture LLP; Chicago, IL): Accenture LLP has multiple openings for the position of Strategy Senior Manager in Chicago, IL, and the job duties are as follows:

  • Leverage deep industry knowledge across the Insurance and Retirement sectors to support clients in analyzing their growth and profitability strategies across various scopes and guide them in defining and executing their strategies and goals.
  • Lead engagements to help clients deploy new innovative operating models, to deliver year-over-year performance improvement in alignment with management and board targets and goals.
  • Leverage core consulting skills and industry expertise to understand and structure the clients' challenges; develop hypotheses on solutions; undertake market and trend assessments and develop business cases to unlock value and guide clients on their sustainable transformation.
  • Lead workshops and interviews with senior client stakeholders to identify opportunities to achieve goals, reduce operational costs, and drive sustainable growth through innovation-led business models and operating model transformations.
  • Analyze technical and financial data to generate insights for the client. Introduce frameworks and methodologies such as zero-based budgeting, digital operations, sustainable operating models.
  • Build client relationships and develop sales pipeline through opportunity, proposal, and commercial phase.
  • Support knowledge building efforts such as developing offerings, assets, capabilities, and relevant thought leadership and engage with the wider insurance community across Accenture globally.
  • Lead high performing multidisciplinary teams, leading by example, actively mentoring others and contributing to performance management and recruitment activities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field, plus 7 years of experience (of which 5 years must be progressive post-baccalaureate experience) in the consulting industry.

Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following:

  • Leading strategy consulting team connected to the insurance and retirement industries;
  • Performing business operations in asset-intensive financial industries;
  • Performing qualitative analysis, research, and business case development;
  • Applying management consulting tools and frameworks including business models, operating models, and business capability frameworks;
  • Utilizing digital technologies, including data analytics tools, digital twins, and artificial intelligence, to solve clients' complex business and decarbonization problems; and
  • Leading presentations and workshops with executive-level audiences and driving sales opportunities.


Must have willingness and ability to travel domestically approximately 80% of the time to meet client needs.

Pursuant to the Illinois Pay Transparency law, the offered wage for this role is $210,000.00 per year and information on benefits offered is here.
