This is a hybrid role requiring on-site travel throughout the WI footprint of Aurora Health care up to 3 days per week and work from home opportunity.
Pay Range
$30.15 - $45.25Supports the development, alignment, execution, and evaluation of community engagement strategies from conception to implementation. Works in partnership with leaders in designing and implementing Advocate Health community engagement strategy and action plan to achieve defined goals across the assigned division. Cultivates and manages long-term relationships that influence Advocate’s Health’s reputation, awareness, and social impact with teammates, patients, and community partners. Implements and activate plans in line with best practices and Advocate Health’s core values, mission, priorities, and overall business strategy.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the development and execution from creation, distribution, management, and implementation of defined community engagement programs.
- Ability to manage a wide range of relationships with community partners, internal and external stakeholders, and track interactions with these groups.
- Maintain and utilize community engagement tracking tools to provide full record of activities, to compile data, and to develop reports.
- Participates in meetings, events, symposiums, or initiatives, in community engagement involvement by providing regular updates, identifying challenges, and reporting on a project plan.
- Work collaboratively with other internal departments. Serving as an Advocate Health representative on committees (internal and external community coalitions).
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with community stakeholders including local elected officials, nonprofits, corporate partners, public health officials, and foundations while continually assessing and making recommendations for appropriate level of funding and mutually beneficial engagement opportunities.
- Communicate, advance, emphasize, prioritize programs and makes recommendations regarding community investment opportunities.
- Identify healthcare and community engagement trends and support management in the developing the Advocate Health Community Engagement strategy.
- Support the development of an execution model from creation, distribution, management, and implementation.
- Participate in reporting on related and respective programs using defined key performance indicators. Retrieve, test, measure, evaluate, and recommend insight research to ensure effectiveness of community engagement campaign and social impact results.
- Reenforce the organization’s brand identity and guidelines through community engagement efforts.
- Develop key performance indicators that are measurable in design and execution in collaboration with leadership.
Level of Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Public Health, Business or related field.
Years of Experience:
- Typically requires 3 years of experience required in community relations, non-profit management, corporate giving, or corporate responsibility. Familiarity with corporate social responsibility programs, local community organizations, programs, and nonprofit groups.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent relationship management skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required
- Exceptional PowerPoint, MS Word and Excel skills required
- Self-directed with excellent time management and detail orientation
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced healthcare environment with tight deadlines
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once
- Adaptability based on changing needs of the organization
- Requires reading, comprehension, and editing materials.
- Requires clear and effective communication.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
This position requires travel to various Advocate locations and markets, with occasional nights and weekends required. Therefore, they will be exposed to weather and road conditions. Exposed to typical office environment. Operates necessary equipment to perform the job.
