Major Responsibilities:

  • Supports the analysis and documentation of Mid-Revenue Cycle operational workflows under the guidance of analysts and senior analysts.

  • Assists in mapping current and future workflows to support process optimization and system alignment with operational goals.

  • Participates in the execution of test plans and test cases to validate operational functionality during system changes.

  • Collaborates with Mid-Revenue Cycle Operations, Information Technology Services, and vendors to support application initiatives that impact Mid-Revenue Cycle performance.

  • Helps gather user requirements and contributes to the development of functional design specifications that reflect operational needs.

  • Maintains and updates process documentation, including workflow diagrams and user-facing reference materials.

  • Assists in conducting data integrity reviews and operational workflow audits to support continuous improvement in system-supported processes.

  • Participates in change control and quality assurance activities using departmental standards and regulatory guidelines.

  • Escalates system issues related to equipment, applications, and functionality to appropriate teams, ensuring timely resolution of operational disruptions.

  • Contributes to project tasks and timelines as assigned, with a focus on supporting Mid-Revenue Cycle performance goals.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

Epic certification (or equivalent) required within 1 year of hire.

Education Required:

Associate’s degree in Health Information Technology, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Experience Required:

Mid-Revenue Cycle certification (or equivalent) required within 1 year of hire.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Basic understanding of Mid-Revenue Cycle KPIs (e.g., DNFB, charge lag).

  • Familiarity with Epic EHR modules utilized within Mid-Revenue Cycle.

  • Exposure to supporting application users and collaborating with vendors or technical teams in a healthcare or business operations setting.

  • Foundational analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and assist in identifying operational needs and improvement opportunities.

  • Ability to document workflows and translate user feedback into system requirements

  • Willingness to learn structured problem-solving approaches to support issue identification and resolution.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

  • Ability to manage assigned tasks, maintain attention to detail, and contribute to timely and organized project execution.

  • Adaptability to evolving processes, shifting priorities, and a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

  • Basic to Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and Lists, or similar platforms.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • This is a fully remote position; work is performed in a home office environment with standard remote technology setup.

  • Must have access to a reliable internet connection and a private workspace conducive to independent work.

  • May be required to travel occasionally for team meetings, training, or division events and therefore may be exposed to road and weather hazards.

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods and occasionally lift or move items up to 40 lbs. (e.g., equipment or materials for remote setup).

  • Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job, including computer, phone, and video conferencing tools.
