Location: Milwaukee, WI OR Chicago, IL | Travel: ~20% | Experience: 3+ Years in Event Planning
Are you a detail-driven organizer who thrives on creating seamless, high-impact experiences? Join our dynamic Conference Services team at Baird, where you’ll play a key role in coordinating more than 8,000 1-on-1 meetings annually for our Capital Markets Conferences.
What You’ll Do:
Support the 1-on-1 Meeting Experience: Schedule and manage thousands of strategic meetings that drive business at our top-tier conferences.
Support Premier Events: Help plan and execute large-scale events—think logistics, space planning, AV, travel, and more.
Keep Stakeholders Informed: Prepare and distribute key reports like attendance, travel manifests, and rooming lists.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work with marketing, internal stakeholders, and vendors to ensure every detail is on point—from signage to travel.
Lead Smaller Events: Independently plan and execute boutique events (10–50 attendees) from start to finish.
Budget & Research: Build cost proposals and scout venues that match the event’s goals and vibe.
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Communications.
3+ years of experience in meeting or event planning (financial industry a plus).
Strong tech skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) and comfort with databases and mail merges.
Impeccable attention to detail, grammar, and proofing.
Calm under pressure, highly organized, and customer-focused.
Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
Compensation and Total Rewards Package:
- $62,000 - $85,000 annual salary range – varies by location
- Bonus potential up to 20% of base salary
- Compensation and bonus are commensurate with experience, performance and/or firm profitability
