Operational Resilience Risk Analyst

As an Operational Resilience Analyst you will:
Partner and collaborate with stakeholders to prepare associates and empower Baird to be ready to provide continuous service and minimize risk regardless of adverse conditions. The Operational Resilience Analyst role will focus on enhancing third party risk management and business continuity frameworks, ensuring the firm’s operational resilience aligns with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. This role involves assessing potential third party vendors, completing annual due diligence of a subset of existing third parties, providing incident monitoring and support, creating and maintaining actionable plans for recovery of business operations, educating and training on business continuity strategies and conducting exercises to prove resiliency.
Third Party Risk Management
Drive initial third party risk assessments to completion, resulting in third party approval or denial.
Process the annual diligence process of approved third parties to ensure they meet Baird’s risk tolerance and security requirements.
Coordinate with internal subject matter experts on aspects of a potential or existing third party relationship including contract review, information security infrastructure and policy, regulatory fulfillment, and insurance evaluation.
Support the relationship with our third party risk software vendor, including being aware of changes, advocating for improvements, and engaging with user group forums/committees as applicable.
Business Continuity
Build relationships with key stakeholders to enhance the Business Continuity program discipline within Baird.
Provide insight and collaboratively support the Business Continuity plan activities by working with the plan owners to identify and address risks within their area while validating the completeness and accuracy of their planned strategies. This includes conducting periodic plan assessments, communicating with clear and concise direction and following up with requests timely.
Partner with the businesses to coordinate, communicate and document exercises, rehearsals and walkthroughs of Business Continuity plans, Mass Notification exercises, Business Recovery exercises, IT Recovery plans and supporting the Crisis Management Plan.
Respond timely to coordinate incident management activities as required. Monitor and support the Incident Management and Crisis Management processes while displaying an understanding of the business impacts.

What we look for:
1-5 years of professional experience; financial services experience a plus.
Excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate with associates at all levels.
Ability to engage and partner with key internal stakeholders to achieve business outcomes related to the role.
Ability to work well and thrive independently and as part of a team.
Strong work ethic, motivated, and a self-starter with a focus on details.
