Provides clerical support for the dental center. Coordinates appointments, schedules surgery as ordered by the dentist and acts as a receptionist and a resource person for the clinic.

Minimum Responsibilities

  • Contacts insurance companies and managed care agencies to obtain necessary approvals so that services can be provided to patients.

  • Answers and appropriately handles all incoming calls to the clinic.

  • Enters charges, diagnoses and scheduling related data into computer system as indicated.

  • Requires a high school education or equivalent plus secretarial or medical secretarial training or equivalent work experience.

  • A minimum of two years of related experience. Prior experience in a dental setting is preferred.

  • Ability to type at a minimum of 35 words per minute preferred to complete forms letters and data entry.

  • Bilingual (Spanish and English speaking) preferred.

We are seeking someone who can work Monday-Friday 8-4:30PM. There is a half hour lunch each day.
