Job Title: Clinical Practice Coordinator

Work Schedule: 36 hours per week. 4 days

What you will do:

A Clinical Practice Coordinator CPC) is similar to an RN Lead.

• This position collaborates with physicians, practice manager and clinical practice team to provide the best and safest care for patients and families.
• Provides for the health educational needs of the families, manages patient care, demonstrates professional/clinical competency, and practices within the Code of Ethics for nurses and the Standards of Nursing Practice.
• Acts as a mentor and participates in the development of clinic staff.
• Promotes office strategies to facilitate the goal of providing excellent patient care.
• Maintains and complies with all OSHA and CLIA standards to achieve accurate clinic compliance.

Job Responsibilities:
• Attending annual competency training
o Providing annual competency training to clinical staff
• Attending Meetings
• Direct patient care when needed
• Working in triage every Friday or when needed to help support RN team
• Commercial and VFC vaccine management – manager is back up support
• Supply Ordering – manager is back up support

This role is an active member of the clinical team to align, support and ensure compliance of Children’s Medical Group (CMG) standardized clinical practices and seamless patient care. This position reports to the Clinic Leadership and works in collaboration to provide the best and safest care for patients and families. Provides for the health educational needs of families, manages patient care, demonstrates professional/clinical competency, and practices within the Code of Ethics for nurses and the Standards of Nursing Practice. This position acts within the scope of practice of a Registered Nurse (RN). This role is integral in supporting the Children’s Wisconsin Patient Experience Promise.

What you will need:

  • A license to practice nursing in the State of Wisconsin. Current CPR certification – Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red cross is required.

  • Knowledge of nursing theory and practice as acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Consideration will be given to applicants currently enrolled in a baccalaureate program in nursing or a BSN completion program with an anticipated graduation date within a time frame to be agreed upon, not to exceed 4 years from hire date.

  • Three or more years RN experience.

  • Exhibits guiding behaviors that reflect Children’s values and support our mission and vision. Ability to assist and support other primary care locations as requested by leaders and/or the Children’s Medical Group float policy.

  • Night and/or weekend hours may be required during high volume or viral surge periods where additional patient access is needed.

  • Provides services in a setting where there is potential for exposure to blood and other high risk body fluids, chemotherapy agents, communicable disease and hazardous materials, chemicals, and waste.

  • Local travel may be required. Ability to sit more than 75% of the work shift. May occasionally squat, bend, kneel, lift, carry, pull, push weights of approximately up to 50 pounds. May frequently reach overhead to obtain supplies. Bachelor degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

  • One year of related experience in a leadership role preferred.
