What you will do:
Leads projects and may provide guidance/training to junior team members. Performs work that is complex and varied in nature. Defines and discerns key aspects of a problem and develops an integrated solution within a broad technical and business context of significant impact. Responsible for providing adequate and appropriate planning to ensure network capacity meets current and future network requirements, including planning for local and remote hardware and communication facilities, development and implementation of methodologies for system analysis, and installation and support of network/voice communications systems. Provides ongoing analysis, acquisition, and installation of network hardware and software. Responsible for coordination and implementation of complex technical network projects involving various CHHS departments, including IS, Facilities Engineering, and Clinical Engineering. Top level technical expert in the LAN/WAN (Local Area Network/Wide Area Network) environment. Conducts feasibility studies on strategic and tactical plans, design of digital/analog networks, and evaluation of network/voice services/technology for current and future network development. Performs technical analysis of software, hardware, and network systems, systems engineering for front-end processors, multiplexors, LAN/WAN communications, network nodes, switches, and various transmission systems. Serves as primary contact with hardware/software vendors regarding technical issues. Evaluates CHHS LAN/WAN network environment and makes recommendations for upgrades on an on-going basis.
What you will need:
Cisco CCNA Certification
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field.
Seven years of advanced Networking/Voice experience, demonstrating a pattern of achievement and increasing responsibilities
Experience in 24x7 support of large mission-critical production systems
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Top-tier network/voice LAN, WAN, wireless, firewall experience required.
Top-tier network/voice performance tuning skills and trouble-shooting required.
Exhibits guiding behaviors that reflect Children's values and support our mission and vision.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including: technical writing, diagramming, effective email skills, and the demonstrated ability to interact professionally and effectively with diverse groups at all levels of the organization and its vendors and affiliates.

Normal office environment where there is no reasonable potential for exposure to blood or other high risk body
