Position Summary:

• Under direct oversight of Clinical Engineering staff, assists with equipment inspections, repairs and maintenance.
• Other duties include participation in special projects as requested by Clinical Engineers and assistance in clinical settings.

Responsibilities:

• Performs duties related to special projects and initiatives, data and procedure review, preparation of new and/or repurposed equipment and installations (unboxing, staging, testing).
• Performs supervised inspections of patient care equipment following manufacturer recommended procedures.
• Utilize test equipment properly to troubleshoot issues and/or complete preventive maintenance inspections.
• Performs supervised minor repairs to medical equipment, logically troubleshooting and problem solving.

Requirements:

• Requires junior or senior standing in high school with minimum age of 16 years.
• Interest in learning and pursuing a career in healthcare clinical engineering.
