Responsible for the oversight and coordination of the Child Advocacy Center (CAC). Ensures best practice standards and guidelines are consistently implemented across the program. Works collaboratively with leaders and staff across the Child Advocacy and Protection Services (CAPS) program and Children's Wisconsin to provide high quality care when child maltreatment is suspected. Identifies and pursues opportunities that support the operation of the CAC and designated medical satellite offices. With the medical and program directors, establishes and evaluates program priorities to ensure for alignment with Children's Wisconsin mission and strategic objectives. Is responsible to ensure the CAC maintains National Children's Alliance (NCA) accreditation. Responsible for ensuring a strong working relationship with child protective services, law enforcement, and other MDT partners.
- Master's degree required.
- Requires 3 years of experience in ambulatory care or similar experience.
- Requires 2 years of supervisory experience with progressive leadership responsibility.
- Exhibits guiding behaviors that reflect Children's values and support our mission and vision.
- Requires advanced analytical and decision making skills necessary to resolve employee and operational problems and assist in the development of departmental budgets.
- Requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, physicians, clinic/hospital staff and community.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective teams.
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage processes.
- Requires visionary approach and ability to challenge the status quo.
- Provides services in a setting where there is potential for exposure to blood and other high risk body fluids, chemotherapy agents, communicable disease and hazardous materials, chemicals, and waste.
- Local and statewide travel are required.
- Ongoing risk of vicarious trauma by providing services to a population that carries a high burden of injury through experiencing adversity and violence.
