Job Summary
Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the 3 Southeast (SE) Child Advocacy Centers (CACs).
Roles & Responsibilities
- Ensures that high quality, comprehensive forensic interview and advocacy services support the psychosocial needs of patients and their families.
- Develops and maintains cooperative working relationships with the SE Manager and other Child Advocacy & Protection Services (CAPS) leaders, Multi-disciplinary team (MDT) partners, and hospital departments to coordinate the provision of services across the 3 SE CACs for children who have been maltreated and their caregivers.
- Guides program staff development and ensures staff awareness of community resources.
Education (Experience can be substituted for education)
- Master’s degree in social work or related field
Experience (Education can be substituted for experience)
- Requires 5 years of experience in post-graduate work, working with children and families where abuse and violence have been identified issues.
- Demonstrated two years progressively more responsible professional experience in a pediatric setting and/or two years previous supervisory experience with demonstrated knowledge of organization operations, office management and standards of trauma informed service delivery.

- Proven communication and interpersonal skills which involved collaborating with peers, leaders, families, community partners and administrators on policy /procedural issues.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in order to resolve complex clinical, systems and personnel problems and issues.
- Analytical skills necessary to evaluate problems, assess complex patient conditions, develop plans and procedures, assist with the preparation and administration of budgets and effectively manage annual budgets.
- Demonstrated leadership and engaging in support of employees and the organization in creating an inclusive, diverse, and equitable experience for employees and clients served.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Provides services in a setting where there is potential for exposure to blood and other high risk body fluids, chemotherapy agents, communicable disease and hazardous materials, chemicals, and waste.
- Some local and statewide travel may be required.
- Ongoing risk of vicarious trauma by providing services to a population that carries a high burden of injury through experiencing adversity and violence.
