Job Summary
Leads the development and execution of Children's Wisconsin's enterprise well-being strategy, advancing the physical, mental, emotional, and workplace well-being of team members. Serves in dyad leadership with provider well-being leaders and acts as the organization's subject matter expert and executive advisor on workforce well-being. Partners across executive leadership, HR, Benefits, and operational teams to drive measurable improvements in engagement, retention, productivity, workforce health, and organizational culture. Accountable for enterprise strategy, program execution, financial stewardship, and organizational impact.
Essential Functions
- Develops and executes a system-wide well-being strategy aligned with organizational priorities and workforce needs.
- Serves as the primary advisor to executive leadership on workforce well-being trends, risks, opportunities, and best practices.
- Establishes and advances a well-being roadmap that strengthens culture, leadership effectiveness, workforce resilience, and employee experience.
- Leads governance structures and cross-functional partnerships to ensure organizational alignment, prioritization, and accountability.
- Provides dyad leadership with provider well-being leaders to drive integrated workforce and provider well-being initiatives.
- Oversees the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise well-being programs, including mental health, resilience, physical health, financial well-being, and workplace experience initiatives.
- Directs daily operations of the Healthy Rewards program, including vendor management, communications, wellness champion engagement, reimbursement administration, and team member support.
- Leads and develops the well-being team, ensuring programs align with organizational strategy and total rewards objectives.
- Establishes metrics, dashboards, and benchmarks to measure program effectiveness, organizational impact, and return on investment.
- Oversees budget planning, financial management, and vendor partnerships to maximize value, effectiveness, and sustainability.
- Fosters relationships with external partners and represents the organization as a leader in workforce well-being.
- Monitors industry trends, emerging practices, and regulatory requirements to drive innovation and compliance.
People Management Responsibility
- Responsible for team engagement, recruitment, performance management, coaching, development, and other people leadership responsibilities.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Health Promotion, Public Health, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Master's degree in Nursing, Psychology, Public Health, Business Administration, or related field
Experience
- 7+ years progressive experience in workforce well-being, benefits, population health, or related field required
- 5+ years leadership experience, including direct management of teams and/or enterprise programs. required
- Experience in a complex, multi-site, or healthcare environment preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proven ability to develop and execute enterprise strategies with measurable business impact
- Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior leaders and stakeholders
- Deep knowledge of workforce well-being, population health, and employee experience trends
- Strong analytical, financial, and data-driven decision-making skills
- Experience with budgeting, ROI analysis, and vendor management
- Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling abilities
- Demonstrated success leading change and driving cultural transformation
- High emotional intelligence and ability to build trust across diverse stakeholders
- Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) or similar certification preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
- BLS – Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or National Safety Council)
