What You Will Do
- Apply your educational experience to solve actual real-world business problems.
- Receive real-life experience in contracting, corporate and other areas of business-related law and dispute resolution.
- Support the day-to-day legal service needs of client businesses.
- Development/refreshing of training materials in intellectual property areas/topics.
- Research changes/developments in IP, artificial intelligence (AI) and data regulations and laws impacting the business.
- Collaborate with peers and present findings at the conclusion of the internship to the Clarios executive leadership team.
- Lead or support projects, many of which have exposure to leaders within Clarios.
How You Will Do It
- Preparing and project managing the updating or creation of certain agreements, training and/or programs, such as incorporating AI considerations into agreements, training R&D team members on trade secret programs and obtaining licensing rights for social media content.
- Assisting with the day-to-day legal support activities supporting business interactions affected by IP considerations.
- Supporting analysis of IP support for Clarios’ global products and services.
- Refreshing/developing training material on selected IP topics affecting contracting, risk management and compliance for business clients.
- Preparing articles and FAQs to be used by Clarios team members for IP training.
What We Look For
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university or currently enrolled in law school, 1L or 2L standing.
- Having an undergraduate degree in the sciences is a plus.
- U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S.
- Ability to be in the greater Milwaukee area in the summer.
- Duration: Summer 2025. Up to 40 hours per week. Part-time during the school year may be available.
- Working Arrangements: Hybrid internship – must have a quiet workspace away from interruptions, with the option to work in the office. Be able to maintain regular contact with the supervisor/team via virtual methods.
