What You Will Do:

  • Support AI Application Development:
    Assist in building, testing, and refining AI-powered features, including developing and maintaining data pipelines, extracting and processing knowledge content through APIs and MCP (Model Context Protocol), and enhancing user interfaces.
  • Contribute to Requirement Analysis Projects: Help gather, document, and analyze requirements with AI functionalities, collaborating with stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Assist with Data Preparation and Analysis: Collect, clean, and analyze battery test and field data using Python, MATLAB, and SQL, supporting both modeling and AI/ML training tasks.
  • Participate in DevOps and Workflow Automation: Support version control, CI/CD pipeline maintenance, and workflow automation using Git, Azure DevOps, and MS PowerApps.
  • Engage in Team Collaboration: Attend meetings, contribute ideas, and communicate findings with cross-functional teams, including the Virtual Battery Model Engineer and ML SME (subject matter experts).

How Will You Do It:

  • Learn and apply Python, MATLAB, and SQL for data analysis and modeling tasks.
  • Assist in developing and testing AI features and user interfaces.
  • Help gather and document requirements by collaborating with engineers and the AI and ML SMEs and consultants.
  • Support integration and validation of virtual models.
  • Communicate regularly with mentors and team members, sharing progress and ideas.

What We Look For:

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university.
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, and/or related field.
  • Python experience.
  • Ability to be in the greater Milwaukee area in the summer.
  • Duration: Summer 2026. Up to 40 hours per week. Part-time during the school year may be available.
  • Working Arrangements: Hybrid internship – must have a quiet workspace away from interruptions if working remotely. Be able to maintain regular contact with the supervisor/team via virtual methods.
