Position Summary

Work you’ll do/Responsibilities

The Transfer Agent Oversight Manager leads the end-to-end oversight of transfer agent relationships and operations, ensuring adherence to service levels, timely fund flows, regulatory compliance, and issue resolution. This leadership role is responsible for process governance, partner management, and driving operational improvements across teams (including Fund Ops Cash, Shareholder/Dealer Services, Ops Compliance, and Regulatory Document Management).

Here are the specific responsibilities:

  • Lead oversight of multiple third-party transfer agents, enforcing process standards, SLAs, and best practices.
  • Manage onboarding, training, and knowledge transfer to mitigate reliance on key personnel and maintain operational continuity.
  • Serve as escalation point for complex issues or critical exceptions relating to cash movement, shareholder events, or dealer services.
  • Coordinate cross-functional engagement for large-scale projects, fund launches, regulatory reviews, and annual due diligence.
  • Oversee quality, timeliness, and completeness of agent deliverables, including statements, tax documents, and regulatory filings.
  • Drive continuous improvement of documentation, runbooks, and process control inventories to harmonize procedures across teams and vendors.
  • Analyze root causes of errors or delays and implement controls to reduce recurring issues.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams (ops, legal, compliance, IT) and stay abreast of regulatory and market changes.
  • Report on metrics, performance outcomes, and key risk indicators to leadership.

Qualifications

Required

  • 7+ years’ experience in transfer agent oversight, fund operations, or asset management.
  • Demonstrable leadership experience with operational teams and/or vendor management.
  • Deep understanding of fund flows, transfer agent functions, and regulatory obligations for retail and alternative funds.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with process automation, change management, and risk/control frameworks.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $136,700 to $151,100.
