Job Summary:
The Data Scientist – Principal is a senior individual contributor who partners closely with clinical, operational, and business leaders to solve complex, high impact problems using data and advanced analytics. This role focuses on framing ambiguous questions into actionable analytic strategies, designing and evaluating statistical, machine learning and AI solutions, and ensuring results are trustworthy, fair, and operationally meaningful. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong domain expertise, and the ability to translate modeling insights into decisions that improve outcomes, efficiency, and financial performance. They will also shape analytic standards, mentor others, and influence the direction of data science capabilities across the organization
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
A minimum of 4 years of directly related experience with projects that include analysis, data modeling, SQL programming, dashboard/report design with visualizations, and development of technical and functional specifications.
Strong experience with a variety of Business Intelligence tools.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Care Administration, Engineering or related field, or appropriate experience equivalent to a Bachelors degree, is required.
SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:Advanced structured query language (SQL) skills including data acquisition, filtering/sorting, simple and complex joins, aggregation, grouping, table population, and indexing.
Advanced knowledge of additional programming language such as Python, R, SAS, or VBA.
Working knowledge of process improvement methodologies and techniques.
Working knowledge of healthcare operations, data sets, measurement methods, terminology, and business trends across a broad scope, or subject matter expert-level knowledge in a targeted healthcare area, such as lab or radiology.

Pay is expected to be between: (expressed as hourly) $49.15- $84.07. Final compensation is based on experience and will be discussed with you by the recruiter during the interview process.
