Job Description Summary
The Software Project Manager / Lead Program Integrator will drive program execution for new product development and installed based activities for Software medical devices and accessories. This role leads cross-functional program planning, communication of program status, execution of deliverables from design through verification and manufacturing to meet quality, content, schedule and budget targets.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Drive New Product Introduction (NPI) program execution and/or Installed Base (IB) program execution for Software medical devices and accessories
- Work with program/functional management leadership to deliver quality products on time, within budget, and with the necessary product features.
- Lead a cross-functional team to establish an integrated plan for resources and materials to deliver new product programs per the Product Program team commitment and to ensure product development includes Software deliveries, supply chain, manufacturing, service, regulatory, and quality goals.
- Work with the Functional managers, Scrum Masters and Product Owners to ensure effective and efficient communication and timely deliveries from the Software scrum teams and the cross-functional team members.
- Define and track metrics to monitor program status and risks, identify issues early, and solve complex and ambiguous cross-functional integration problems.
- Creates an inclusive, positive, and empowering team environment
- Develops continuous improvement activities by driving process simplification initiatives
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Science or equivalent (defined as High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of progressive experience as an engineer within the appropriate field of study)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an engineer or as a project leader in a Software technology related position
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in project leadership, including previous experience working with a global and/or virtual team
- Demonstrated ability to build lasting cross-functional relationships, including strong influencing and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to own and drive daily execution and burn down of critical tasks needed to meet the program timelines
- Demonstrated skills in proactively identifying, facilitating and driving closure of product/program deliverables
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently toward timely completion of a variety of assignments
- Demonstrated understanding and experience with any quality management system (ISO, IEC standards)
Desired Characteristics:
- Master’s degree in SW engineering
- Demonstrated understanding and experience with the GE Healthcare quality management system
- Demonstrated experience with regulatory compliance processes, design history files, and collaterals
- Knowledge of GE Healthcare engineering tools and processes (Agile, MyWorkshop etc.)
- Creative problem solver and solution developer when presented with conflicting requirements, business demands and technical risks/issues
- Ability to develop unique solutions for complex challenges
