Reporting directly to the CTO, the Program Director plays a pivotal role in shaping and driving the successful execution of New Product Introductions (NPIs) in the Diagnostic Cardiology business of GE HealthCare. This strategic leader defines and prioritizes program objectives, aligning strategic and tactical roadmaps with business goals to ensure the timely delivery of innovative, high-quality products and solutions for the diagnostic electrocardiography (ECG) business.As the leader of the Program Management Office (PMO), the Program Director fosters strong partnerships across Design, Engineering, and functional leadership teams to deliver competitive, customer-focused product features—on time and within budget. This role champions team motivation, resource planning, and agile collaboration throughout the product lifecycle.
In close partnership with Program Managers, the Program Director supports global product planning by translating business strategy into actionable plans, managing budgets, and delivering clear, data-driven insights and KPI reporting to senior leadership.

Roles and Responsibilities
- • Lead the New Product Introduction (NPI) and Advanced Technology Development (ATD) processes by driving execution, planning, control, and completion of project and program deliverables across the DCAR portfolio of NPIs.
• Own program execution across all NPI and/or ATD phases, from concept initiation to commercial launch. Lead cross-functional initiatives to align advanced technology development with the DCAR Algorithm and AI technology roadmap.
• Partner with business leaders including GMs, CTOs, Product Managers, Regulatory leaders, and Quality leaders to identify and evaluate AI algorithm partnership opportunities, assessing both technical and clinical aspects to recommend high-impact collaborations that fuel segment growth and innovation.
• Establish and drive robust program management processes that ensure consistent delivery of NPI programs on time, within budget, and to quality standards as defined by the DCAR business segment.
• Represent DCAR in business facing monthly operating reviews (MOR’s) & Platform reviews, manage DCAR budget and corresponding engineering operations data
• Drive program planning and multi-generational program/platform roadmap delivery for DCAR Products
• Demonstrate cross-functional project execution leadership including (but not limited to) concept discussion, program execution, clinical and pilot trials, and product field delivery
• Ensure effective communication across business units and functions globally
• Defines and interprets program metrics and KPI’s to ensure on-time delivery, with quality, compliance, and within budget
• Actively demonstrates and cultivates a continuous improvement & LEAN mindset across DCAR while coaching teams as needed in root cause analysis, brainstorming techniques, etc.
• Explores and leverages synergies with GE HealthCare’s Patient Care Solutions (PCS) business and the Science & Technology Organization (STO) Platform(s) organizations. Leads change through creative solutions to product, process, connectivity, and system design issues
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent STEM related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of project management experience leading large-scale product development
- Minimum of 5 years of experience doing full SDLC development of complex software applications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in operating with Scaled Agile or LEAN working environment
- Demonstrated execution at meeting project goals while satisfying quality, performance, schedule, and budget requirements
- Demonstrated engineering knowledge, program management, and business planning processes, having experience with the full product lifecycle
- Willingness to work in a hybrid schedule with three days per week on-site in the GE HealthCare Waukesha, Wisconsin office
- Ability to travel both local and global approximately 10% of the time
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate the needs of global teams, schedules, and customers
Desired Characteristics
- MBA or master's in computer science or STEM related field
- PMP or similar certification, Lean Six-Sigma Certification, SAFe SPC certified, demonstrated LEAN skills
- 7 years of relevant industry experience preferably in a regulated medical software industry such as GE HealthCare’s Patient Care Solutions or other Imaging modality
- Proven experience with Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) development, including regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, MDR, ISO 13485, IEC 62304
- Strategic planner and thinker with ability to drive change across the business unit.
- Sound technical and domain experience in at least one functional technology area.
- Excellent communication, executive presence, influencing skills and ability to gain buy-in for initiatives, demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally
- Self-starter, energizing, demonstrated problem solver, results oriented, and able to multi-task
- Proven mentoring and coaching abilities; demonstrated ability to motivate & inspire others
