This role owns enterprise on-time delivery outcomes, leads a global, multi-regional team, and serves as a key partner to sourcing, manufacturing, planning, logistics, and executive leadership.
The Director will drive resolution of critical supply chain shortages impacting customer commitments while also establishing proactive, scalable risk management strategies to prevent future disruptions. This leader is expected to operate with urgency during crises and with foresight to strengthen long-term supply chain resilience.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Own global on-time delivery performance across key product lines, suppliers, and manufacturing sites.

  • Serve as the senior point of accountability for delivery risks, shortages, and recovery execution.

  • Translate delivery gaps into clear business impact, trade-offs, and actionable options for senior leadership.

  • Lead enterprise-level response to critical supply chain shortages, late deliveries, and constrained capacity events.

  • Direct cross-functional recovery efforts, ensuring alignment between suppliers, manufacturing, planning, logistics, and sourcing.

  • Establish disciplined recovery planning standards, including timelines, owners, milestones, and risk assumptions.

  • Lead and develop a global OTD organization across regions and time zones.

  • Define the operating model, governance, escalation paths, and performance expectations for the OTD function.

  • Build leadership bench strength and succession within the organization.

  • Drive a culture of accountability, transparency, and results orientation.

  • Act as a senior interface with strategic and at-risk suppliers to address delivery performance, capacity constraints, and material availability.

  • Partner with manufacturing leadership to align production priorities, constrained builds, and recovery sequencing.

  • Influence supplier behavior through data, accountability, and partnership rather than transactional escalation.

  • Establish a forward-looking delivery risk framework using leading indicators (capacity utilization, material constraints, demand volatility, supplier health).

  • Partner with sourcing, planning, and engineering to drive mitigation strategies such as alternate sourcing, capacity investments, buffering strategies, and design flexibility.

  • Lead scenario planning and stress-testing to prepare for geopolitical, capacity, or demand-driven disruptions.

  • Define and govern global OTD metrics, including on-time delivery, past-due backlog, recovery performance, and risk pipeline health.

  • Ensure consistent reporting, insights, and executive-level dashboards.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve delivery reliability, speed of recovery, and cross-functional execution discipline.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, sourcing, manufacturing, or operations leadership roles.
  • Proven experience leading global, cross-functional, and multi-regional teams.
  • Demonstrated success owning enterprise-level delivery or supply continuity outcomes in complex environments.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders and external partners.

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience leading delivery performance in highly constrained or volatile supply environments.
  • Background in supplier management, capacity planning, or shortage recovery at scale.
  • Experience partnering with executive leadership on risk mitigation, investment trade-offs, and prioritization decisions.
  • Advanced knowledge of ERP, planning systems, and supply chain analytics
