The Senior Director, Enterprise Portfolio Planning plays a critical leadership role in orchestrating GE HealthCare’s enterprise-wide R&D portfolio planning process. This role ensures that annual product and technology planning cycles (WWPP/WWTP) are executed with simplicity, rigor, and strategic clarity, enabling effective R&D funding allocation and investment prioritization across all GE HealthCare segments. Partnering closely with Product, Technology, and Digital teams, this leader drives alignment of market needs, product strategy, and technology roadmaps across near-, mid-, and long-term horizons to support GE HealthCare’s growth objectives.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Define and articulate an enterprise-wide portfolio vision, providing strategic insights and anticipating market, regulatory, and technology trends to guide long‑term investment decisions and accelerate innovation.
- Lead and optimize GE HealthCare’s WWPP/WWTP planning processes, simplifying mechanisms, strengthening strategic rigor, and implementing data‑driven, standardized inputs/outputs that enhance transparency and comparability across segments.
- Orchestrate R&D investment prioritization and allocation, driving alignment among product, technology, and digital leaders and ensuring unified portfolio decisions across near-, mid-, and long-term horizons.
- Partner with product segments and technology teams to interlock product and technology strategies, guiding development of multi‑horizon roadmaps and ensuring they reflect enterprise priorities and enable business growth.
- Drive execution excellence by aligning structures, processes, and resources to enterprise portfolio outcomes, promoting “One GE HealthCare” behaviors, and ensuring disciplined follow-through and communication of progress
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- 10+ years progressive experience in product management, program leadership, engineering management, or portfolio planning.
- Proven success leading cross-functional operating mechanisms and influencing without authority across complex organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, coaching, and leadership skills; able to energize and inspire teams.
- High interest in portfolio management, product road mapping, and enterprise investment prioritization.
- Lean/Six Sigma mindset with experience defining efficient processes, inputs, and outputs.

- Experience launching medical device products in regulated environments.

- Experience with multi-generation product and technology planning.
- Expertise in program management, execution planning, and operational control.
- Knowledge of clinical workflows in diagnostic or therapeutic healthcare.
