The Manufacturing Technician II is responsible for setting up and operating production equipment used to manufacture, process, and assemble commercial products. This role follows established production procedures and quality standards to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent output. Roles and Responsibilities
Set up, calibrate, and operate production and manufacturing equipment in accordance with product specifications, SOPs, and work instructions.
Monitor production output to ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment with defined metrics.
Identify and report quality issues, process deviations, equipment malfunctions, or safety concerns to supervision.
Complete required production records, logs, and documentation accurately and on time.
Follow all safety policies, including proper material handling and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Support continuous improvement efforts by adhering to standardized processes and contributing to a team-focused production environment.
Required Qualifications
Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology or a related technical field with 1–3 years of manufacturing or production experience, or high school diploma / GED with 5–7 years of related manufacturing experience
Demonstrated advanced troubleshooting capability, applying structured problem‑solving techniques to diagnose and resolve issues up to the system level
High proficiency in reading, interpreting, and explaining complex technical information, including blueprints, diagrams, SOPs, and technical documentation
Proficient in the use and modification of computerized work systems and manufacturing applications
Preferred Characteristics
Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment, quality standards, and production metrics, with a strong focus on safety and compliance
Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
Ability to work effectively with limited direction and incomplete information while maintaining process proficiency
Commitment to maintaining current knowledge of manufacturing technologies and continuous skill development
Exposure to machine welding processes
