Job Description Summary

Why This Role Matters
At GE HealthCare, our MR hardware technologies help clinicians deliver high-quality imaging that supports confident diagnosis and patient care. As Director – RF & Mixed Signal Engineering, you will lead technologies that are foundational to MR system performance, image quality, reliability, and platform scalability. Your leadership will help ensure our RF transmit/receive, ASIC, small-signal, and mixed-signal electronics solutions are safe, manufacturable, reliable, and ready for the future.

Role Overview
You will provide strategic and operational leadership for the MR RF & Mixed Signal Engineering organization. In this role, you’ll guide technical direction, develop engineering talent, and drive predictable execution across complex, regulated product development programs. You’ll partner closely with Systems, Mechanical, Firmware, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Global Research, Program leadership, and the GE HealthCare Technology & Innovation Center to deliver high-quality MR solutions and advance next-generation capabilities.

Job Description

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, develop, and scale the MR RF & Mixed Signal Engineering organization, including hiring, coaching, performance management, succession planning, and capability growth.
  • Set clear functional objectives aligned with MR business strategy, platform roadmaps, and program priorities.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, technical rigor, inclusion, execution discipline, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for complex people, resource, and technical challenges across the RF & Mixed Signal portfolio.
  • Own technical direction and execution for RF transmit/receive, ASIC, small-signal, and mixed-signal electronics across the full product lifecycle.
  • Ensure designs meet system requirements for performance, safety, reliability, regulatory compliance, and manufacturability.
  • Provide oversight across architecture, detailed design, verification, validation, and design transfer.
  • Drive disciplined engineering execution through design controls, requirements management, DFMEA, DFM, and change control processes.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate technical, program, and execution risks early in the development cycle.
  • Own end-to-end accountability for RF transmit/receive subsystems and Patient Handling electronics.
  • Serve as the single point of accountability for subsystem and component commitments across schedule, cost, quality, and risk.
  • Lead subsystem-level trade-offs, prioritization, and risk mitigation with cross-functional partners.
  • Ensure subsystem integration and readiness for key milestones, including RFV, M3, design transfer, and product release.
  • Communicate schedule, risk, resource trade-offs, and priorities clearly to senior and executive leadership.
  • Support global execution across distributed engineering teams, manufacturing partners, and suppliers.
  • Define and execute RF & Mixed Signal functional strategy aligned to near-term execution and long-term technology advancement.
  • Drive platforming, reuse, cost optimization, manufacturability, and supplier collaboration across MR products.
  • Contribute to budget planning, headcount strategy, NRE investment decisions, and cost management.
  • Improve engineering processes, execution predictability, quality, and organizational effectiveness.
