NATURE AND SCOPE

The Director, Enterprise Risk Management reports to the EVP, Legal, Risk and Compliance and provides leadership for enterprise-wide risk programs, including Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Business Continuity Planning (BCP), and Vendor Performance Management. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, drives risk governance, and influences organizational strategy through proactive risk identification and mitigation. The Director partners with department leaders across the organization, chairs the ERM Committee, and advises executive leadership on emerging risks, recommending solutions to minimize exposure. This position is accountable for developing risk frameworks, reporting risk metrics, and fostering a strong risk culture throughout the enterprise.

REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 8+ years of progressive risk management experience, preferably in financial services industry or financial services consulting. Equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
2. Proven experience managing teams, with strong coaching and development skills.
3. Proven track record of developing and executing enterprise-wide risk strategies and frameworks.
4. Deep knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management principles, operational risk, and regulatory compliance requirements.
5. Experience creating and testing Business Continuity Plans that incorporate operational and information system considerations.
6. Experience managing, tracking, and analyzing vendor relationships to ensure proper risks are considered and performance standards are met.
7. Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, assess risk, and clearly present concepts to all levels of the organization.
8. Must develop a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as they relate to this position. Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all job-related state and federal laws and regulations.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABLITIES
1. Provide strategic leadership for enterprise risk programs, including ERM, operational risk, BCP, and vendor risk management.
2. Develop and maintain risk frameworks, policies, and governance to meet regulatory expectations.
3. Lead risk assessments, RCSAs, and operational risk event management, ensuring timely remediation and escalation.
4. Oversee business continuity planning and testing across the organization.
5. Chair the ERM Committee and influence senior leadership on risk appetite and mitigation strategies.
6. Develop executive-level dashboards and reporting to inform strategic decisions.
7. Establish and monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure risk exposure and program effectiveness.
8. Manage audit and exam processes; partner with EVP on regulatory interactions.
9. Oversee GRC system administration and ensure organizational hierarchy and data integrity.
10. Lead and develop the risk management team, fostering a strong risk culture across the enterprise.
11. Manage vendor risk and performance programs in collaboration with business owners.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.
