Position summary:
The Senior Broadcast Engineer supports the broadcast facilities, hardware, software, and infrastructure of Fiserv Forum, including in-house video production studio, audio studio, broadcast data center and numerous editing, audio, and graphics stations. The Senior Broadcast Engineer interacts with and supports in-house Milwaukee Bucks TV production team, external truck broadcasters, NBA network, Marquette University network, and various entertainment acts. The Senior Broadcast Engineer is a full-time employee inclusive of Event Day Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for our studios, master control systems, cameras, and lighting.
- Provide training and support to technical and production staff in the audio/video studio.
- Maintain broadcast functionality and distribution, digital and analog.
- Perform regular checks on equipment to ensure functionality.
- Perform repairs to studio and field gathering equipment.
- Assist in maintaining broadcast and storage servers.
- Maintain spare part's inventory.
- Communicate with technical support from equipment vendors.
- Know the latest on broadcast technology.
- Design and recommend broadcast solutions.
- Help media and production teams implement broadcast plans.
- Other work and duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ten years of related experience required.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience with the SMPTE ST 2110 standards and workflows
- Extensive technical experience in live broadcast engineering, within medium to large multicamera production environments
- Expertise in multiple areas, including video switchers, audio consoles, intercoms, replay devices, graphics systems, KVM, video cameras, LED, AV, and IPTV systems.
- Understanding of video stream metadata, including triggers, timecode user bits, closed captioning, etc.
- Knowledge of IP networking and multicasting, including streaming media protocols (Dante, NDI, JPEG XS, AES67, RossTalk, RTP, RTSP, UDP, RTMP).
- Ability to solder, work with various power and hand tools.
- Handle complex, detailed workloads individually and as a collaborator.
- Must have strong service orientation.
- Must have strong communication skills that allow for working with individuals at varying levels of familiarity with these systems.
- Ability to lift equipment (up to 50 lbs.), work on ladders, work under raised floors and in the presence of electronics will be required.
Preferred experience:
- PC, Macintosh, and Linux computer hardware and operating systems
- Imagine ST 2110 routing system and MVs
- Operation of Arista and Cisco Layer 2 and Layer 3 equipment.
- Ross switcher, CG, and ST 2110 transport equipment
- GVG camera systems
- EVS replay and IP Director media Servers
- Cisco Vision IPTV
- Tripleplay IPTV

- Yamaha audio consols
