Summary:

The Wisconsin Herd are looking for a passionate digital marketing intern for the upcoming 2024-2025 NBA G League season this fall! Come work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and learn the ins and outs of social media, digital marketing in the sports industry. The Digital Marketing intern will be assisting the marketing department with their day-to-day operations on a wide range of projects, including all digital initiatives including website, email and social media efforts that maintain the continuity and integrity of the Milwaukee Bucks brand and its various entities, including Wisconsin Herd, Bucks Gaming, Fiserv Forum and Deer District.

Responsibilities:

  • Create content for team's social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube).
  • Capture and share unique, behind-the-scenes photos, videos and collaborate with Video Production Coordinator on video ideas.
  • Write and post original captions, tweets, etc.
  • Monitor and reply to fan comments, messages, questions, etc.
  • Support teams' other digital communication efforts including writing newsletter copy and assisting with website updates.
  • Assist with retail merchandise promotion.
  • Research trends for social media use.
  • Manage and maintain the online auction pages and auction information.
  • Prepare print promotional signage used inside the arena .
  • Manage bar network Facebook event pages and social media promotion.
  • Track social media post performance and sponsorship activation.
  • Divide time between office hours and game functions.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university.
  • Previous sports experience is not required, but is a plus!
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service & analytical skills with a strong attention to details.
  • Capacity to think creatively and contribute new ideas.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle a variety of responsibilities.
  • Ability to think and react quickly and appropriately to unpredictable situations.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and general digital literacy skills.
  • Design skills, including experience with Adobe Photoshop, are a plus.
  • Photography skills and experience with Adobe Lightroom, are a plus.
  • Ability to work all Wisconsin Herd home and away games, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to cover Wisconsin Herd away games, if needed.
  • Willing to work 20+ hours a week (including assigned game coverage).
