Crafted Highlights:
In the role of Refrigeration Operator working in Milwaukee, WI you will be part of the Utilities Asset Care. You will monitor and controls all refrigeration equipment and systems throughout the Brewery in accordance with the Milwaukee Brewery OSHA Process Safety Program. Answer trouble calls on the Refrigeration Hotline. Maintain and records information in the refrigeration logbook.
This position reports to Sr. Process Leader-Utilities and the pay is $34.88/hour.
This position is a swing shift role, so the position will rotate between first, second, and third shifts on a weekly basis:
1st Shift- 6:30am-2:30pm Saturday through Friday(Saturday, Sunday, Monday off)
3rd Shift- 10:30pm-6:30am Tuesday through Monday(Tuesday, Wednesday off)
2nd Shift- 2:30pm-10:30pm Thursday through Wednesday(Thursday, Friday off)
What You’ll Be Brewing:
- Verbally communicate equipment status at shift change to oncoming relief person.
- Monitor and controls all HVAC systems throughout the Brewery.
- Conduct rounds as specified by OSHA PSM Operating Procedure OPS-010.
- Drain oil from ammonia systems in accordance with Standard Operation Procedures.
- Pump- out systems and/or equipment as necessary to perform maintenance or repairs to ammonia leaks.
- To follow all Ammonia Emergency Procedures as prescribed by OSHA PSM Program
- Perform equipment maintenance and system inspections as identified by the OSHA Process Safety Mechanical Integrity Management Program.
- Perform miscellaneous maintenance as assigned by MAXIMO work orders and supervisors.
- Assist the engine room and boiler room operators, as required.
- Deliver post-chlorinated water and city water samples to lab.
- Deliver CO2 samples to lab.
Key Ingredients:
- You have a high school diploma and are at least 21 years old.
- Maintains current permit to operate with the City of Milwaukee
- Maintains current 2nd Class licensing, with the National Institute of The Uniform Licensing of Power Engineers –OR- American Society of Power Engineers, Power Plant Operating Engineer 2nd Class, to operate of Boilers and Turbines.
- Walk at length throughout the Brewery everyday
- Bend, squat, sit, and climb steps
- Safely move full chemical containers and lift 50-pound bags of salt
- Lift, push, and or pull 50 pounds properly.
- Work in a hot and noisy environment and in a cold refrigerated area, including outside areas during winter months
