Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

Job Description: The Senior Software Engineer at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin will be involved in all stages of software development lifecycle within CDI. Collaborate with a larger team of engineers and product managers to develop test plans, collect data to make well informed decisions. Own QA effort for applications and projects, certifying and signing off code releases. Liaise with business, developers and business analysts at concept stage to determine testing strategy and coverage. Actively implement test automation using Selenium, Python, Cypress, pydat, and Node Js and ensure that it is up to standard. Develop automation roadmap and help initiate right framework and maintain existing automation suite, including cloud automation. Develop, modify, and execute automated scripts and programs for testing, primarily focused on automated functional and regression testing. Utilize Kafka and Ansible Tower. Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data using Informatica PowerCenter. Author and update build files, Dockerfiles, and Kubernetes manifests for deployment of artifacts to non-production and production environments. Debug software applications with systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for applications. Identify defects and anomalies, investigate cause, and document and track accordingly. Understand, maintain, and improve existing test process. Perform peer reviews on code and design. Salary $108,568- $203,840 per year.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field, plus 5 years of experience as a software engineer or related occupation. Experience must include 3 years with each of the following: (1) Automation using Selenium, Python, Cypress, pydat, and Node Js; (2) Safe Agile, including Scrum; (3) Informatica and ETL Testing using Informatica PowerCenter; (4) Microsoft PowerBI; (5) cloud automation; (6) Kafka and Ansible Tower; (7) C#; and (8) performing peer reviews on code and design.
