What’s the role?
The Senior Workday Reporting Analyst will be responsible for working alongside the People Insights & Analytics team developing innovative solutions for our stakeholders as we look to provide direct access reporting to our end users to help inform and provide insights on data driven decisions. The Sr. Analyst will have the opportunity to build custom reports, dashboards, discovery boards, worksheets, and build PRISM datasets in Workday while working to centralize and streamline workforce reporting through insights and in-app dashboards. They will take part in quarterly clean-up exercises to rid the system of outdated/unused reports and calc fields, be a part of the Workday semi-annual release testing/enhancement cycle, and work with a great group of likeminded Workday Reporting analysts.
*Desired work location for this role is at our home office in Milwaukee, WI (hybrid), however the team is also open to considering fully remote candidates.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Build partnerships with internal stakeholders to understand user needs, develop requirements, align on data definitions, and build analytical tools to guide business decisions and support stakeholders’ strategies
Collaborate with process owners to develop custom/new Workday reports and dashboards; keeping standard, enterprise-wide use in mind to achieve maximum efficiencies
Mentor/support Reporting Specialists in Workday reporting as needed
Responsible for evaluating and updating the Workday reporting catalogue to meet business requirements and establishing a program that builds reporting and analytics capability within the HR team
Receive and respond to escalated employee inquiries regarding data, reporting, and dashboards
Support audit and compliance efforts and troubleshoot system and data issues
Create and maintain related calculated fields for reporting and communicate calculated fields needs across areas to avoid redundancy and achieve efficiency
Train users on Workday reporting functions and available reports
Support Workday’s biannual releases through impact analysis to changes to Workday’s data model and create reports and dashboards to aid in identification of populations for release testing
Provide quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting of patterns, insights, and trends to decision-makers in order to drive business decisions and address business questions
Creates and produces forecasts, reports, dashboards, etc. to tell a story through data
Deliver results to Department leaders and Business Clients
Delivers results, insights and recommendations (written, verbal, presentations, etc) to business audience to support business decisions
Produce actionable reports that show key performance indicators, identify areas of improvement into current operations, and display root cause analysis of problems
Provides consultation to business clients and may participate in cross-functional teams to address business issues
Identifies & captures business requirements, develops KPI frameworks

Must Have Experience:
3+ years of experience with Advanced Workday reporting, data/analytic; and visualization including calculated fields and dashboard
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, HR, Mathematics, Statistics, Business or related field.
At least 4-5 years of professional experience
Ability to access, gather, and analyze data from multiple internal and external sources to drive insights into business problems, decisions, and performance
Ability to articulate this knowledge as an expert at the department level and may be called on to provide insight at the enterprise level to provide detailed analysis
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Experience:
At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in research and data analysis, , report or application development that support business decisions/outcomes
Visualization tooling like PowerBI or Tableau
Workday PRISM, BIRT, and composite reporting experience
At least 4 years’ experience working in analytics related field
