Job Description: The Engineering Test Lead at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin will design, implement, and maintain tests including data based on product needs, utilizing custom testing frameworks, patterns, security and infrastructure for release certification. Provide support for end-to-end testing across domains. Work closely with testers and key partners, including Infrastructure and cloud services to deliver testing outcomes that are aligned with overall test plans. Continuously improve testing process, practices, and methodologies to ensure stability and increase confidence in the product or features rolled out. Collaborate with internal and/or external stakeholders to provide guidance on testing standards and best practices, while staying up-to-date on emerging technologies in software testing. Document and maintain data comprehensive test strategies for every product/platform and collaborate with engineering managers and teams to align testing processes with development goals. Work in an Agile development environment, leveraging domain driven and test-driven approaches within a fully dedicated Agile team. Telecommuting permissible. Salary $121,618- $208,520 per year.

Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field plus three years of experience as a software quality assurance analyst, software developer, or related occupation. Employer will also accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field plus five years of progressive experience as a software quality assurance analyst, software developer, or related occupation. Experience must include at least three years of experience with each of the following: (1) debugging applications through logs, stack traces and test results; (2) continuous monitoring of systems under test and applications in production; (3) building end-to-end automation test suites; (4) experience with at least one programming language, including Java, C++, Pl1, Cobol, or Selenium; and (5) Agile development environment experience, leveraging BDD/TDD and whole team approaches within a fully-dedicated Agile team.
