Job Description

The Strategic Program Manager is experienced and accomplished in complex, strategic program management and is an advisor to relevant business stakeholder leadership for strategic, multi-functional Rockwell Automation programs. As a member of Corporate Development's Transformation Management Office (TMO), the Strategic Program Manager is responsible for the collaboration, planning and execution of program activities across Operating Segments, Business Units, and cross-functional support teams in order to achieve the expected scope, schedule, and budget of assigned strategic programs. You will report to our Director, Value Creation and Integration.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and execution of cross-functional program management activities from planning through execution.
  • Collaborate across key cross-functional support teams including Information Technology, Human Resources, Finance/Tax, Legal, Sales including Sales Operations and Marketing, Communications, and the Integrated Supply Chain to drive program execution.
  • As appropriate, partner with the appropriate Business Unit Leadership Team and Global Sales and Marketing to define and support business plans including sales and commercial launch plans to achieve targets.
  • Drive the identification of cross-functional interdependencies and risks. Develop and execute mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate program tracking, regular reviews with executive leadership and communications via standardized processes and metrics.
  • Develop and maintain standardized processes, procedures, tools and templates.
  • Ensure ongoing continuous improvement by identifying issue root causes, leading lessons-learned discussions, and implementing best practices.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • The ability to travel domestically and globally 25% of the time.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Masters of Business Administration, Masters in Finance or Accounting, Masters of Science in Program Management or Master of Science in Engineering Management
  • Certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Minimum of eight years of related experience managing programs for products, services, or software companies.
  • Experience working across multiple time zones
  • Experience leading large global teams on complex, high dollar value projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise in program management, project planning, estimation, schedule creation, resource loading, and budget management
