Job Description
Are you passionate about solving complex business challenges through innovative automated systems? Join Rockwell Automation as a Data Solutions Analyst where you'll play a pivotal role in designing and implementing data-driven solutions that power our Connected Enterprise. In this role, you'll analyze business problems, configure system settings, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver cost-effective, high-performing systems. From architecting data structures and enabling "Data as a Service" to supporting AI/ML initiatives and cloud-edge environments, you'll provide technical expertise that shapes the future of automation. You'll work a hybrid schedule out of our Milwaukee, WI office and will report to the IT Technical Leader.
Your Responsibilities:
- Functions as Subject Matter Expert on data structures, lineage, and cross-application usage
- Researches data issues and proposes ways to eliminate problem
- Develops and tests infrastructure components in Cloud and Edge-level environments
- Assists in data selection and evaluation for AI/ML use cases
- Designs, codes and tests new data management solutions, including supporting applications and interfaces
- Architects data structures to provision and enable "Data as a Service"
- Supports cross-functional development activity in various DA&I and Connected Enterprise related projects, for internal and external customers
- Proactively monitors industry trends and identifies opportunities to implement new technologies
- Leverages containerization models and works with other engineers and architects to keep the architecture current
- Assists in the support and enhancement of applications
- Writes high-quality code compliant with regulations
- Collaborates with business systems analysts and product owners to define requirements
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Years of Relevant Work Experience
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, software engineering, management information systems, or related field
- Extensive experience with business concepts and impact of data on business processes
- Experience in systems development lifecycle
- Experience in Data management concepts and implementations
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and system/process documentation
- Experience with server-side architectures and containerization
- Experience with SAP Data Services, Azure ADF, ADLS, SQL, Tabular models, or other domain-specific programming languages
- Proven ability to plan, prioritize, and deliver projects or workstreams on time, balancing competing deadlines and resources
- Experience preparing written materials (e.g., reports, emails) and leading discussions to share information or updates with varied audiences, such as technical teams and business leaders
- Experience learning and applying new tools, systems, or processes, and adjusting approach when priorities or requirements shift
- Track record of analyzing complex issues, identifying root causes, and developing practical solutions while maintaining accuracy and thoroughness
