As part of a talented team of individuals, the Messaging Systems Engineer’s primary role is maintaining stability for multiple Exchange servers, Microsoft 365 environments and ancillary technology platforms. Technologies include Exchange (various versions), Microsoft 365, Intune, Azure AD Connect, Azure AD, Zix Encryption, Proofpoint Antimalware, Maas360, along with other similar systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
We operate in a fast-paced, ever-changing technology world, so duties and responsibilities can change. Initially you will be responsible for the following key activities that may evolve based on our focus areas at the time. This list is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities.
- Administer and support public/private/hybrid Cloud Systems
- Administer and support customer product offering for Messaging and M365 Productivity Suite
- Create or gather reports and information as needed
- Ensure engineering support requests are answered in a timely manner
- Continually design, develop and revisit existing engineering processes
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation
- Work in a 24/7 fast paced environment
- Actively participate in special projects and strategic initiatives based on UFS priorities for the year
- Be willing to travel up to 20%
- Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience
- 3+ years working with Cloud-based infrastructure solutions
- 3+ years demonstrating best-in-class customer service
- Deep understanding of private/hybrid/public cloud infrastructure solutions and technologies
- Deep understanding of M365 and the M365 Productivity Suite
- Familiarity with Microsoft Exchange and Mobile Device Management (MDM)
- Familiarity with automation and scripting technologies
- Familiarly with backup methodologies for archiving
- Familiarity with the concept of Change Management and a preconceived appreciation of ITIL
- Demonstrated ability to ‘fly without a net’ regarding final-tier support
- Demonstrated willingness and acceptance of change
- Certifications in Cloud-based technologies are a plus
