We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a PG Manager - Nuclear. This position can be located out of our Green Bay or Milwaukee, WI location.

This position offers a flexible hybrid (remote/in office) work arrangement. Individuals will be required to come into the Green Bay or Milwaukee office as needed.

Job Summary

The PG Manager is responsible for managing vendors involved in developing potential new nuclear generation sites. Also responsible for Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contract management.

Job Responsibilities

  • Influences a positive safety culture
  • Ensures compliance with all environmental regulations
  • Responsible for contract management
  • Responsible for vendor interaction and oversight
  • Monitors staff and facility performance by recognizing the changing conditions, variations in load, availability and capability of staff to optimize staff and facility performance
  • Evaluates, revises, and ensures adherence to the operations and maintenance procedures
  • Responsible for budget input, planning and tracking
  • Responsible for the oversite of the facility operations, maintenance and/or outage budget(s) and long term strategic plan(s), including elements associated with production, maintenance and environmental performance activities
  • Promotes a workplace that encourages creative thinking, involvement, and diversity
  • Coaches, mentors, counsels, evaluates performance, develops goals
  • Monitors policies and practices to ensure adequate equipment availability
  • Maintains a good relationship with the community, general public and other stakeholders
  • Works closely with the Engineering Staff on all aspects of facility operations and maintenance, including outage activities
  • Interacts and communicates with senior leadership

Minimum Experience Required

  • Candidates must have a minimum of seven (7) years of power plant experience in a leadership role, or seven (7) years project management experience in an electric utility or production/manufacturing environment
  • Candidates must demonstrate excellent leadership skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • Leadership experience, including team building, coaching and development and excellent oral and written communications skills are also required
  • Candidates should be results oriented and have a high degree of business acumen and customer focus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous nuclear industry experience
  • Experience with contract management
  • Experience with project management

Pay Range Minimum: $117,004.94

Pay Range Maximum: $175,507.54

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs. At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
