We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is currently recruiting for a Student -Technical/Designer (Summer Vacation Relief Employee) at our Delafield, WI location. This is a full-time summer positions beginning in May or June. This position is represented by We Energies L2150 Union.


The technical summer students will support field engineering by performing construction surveysand staking activities.


Candidates must be available to work full-time during the summer. Monday through Friday, 7:00am -3:30pm.

Starting Pay: $24.77

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the design staff.
  • Help measure distances.
  • Draft preliminary drawings.
  • Take job site photos.
  • Monitor Return-By Dates.
  • Speak with customers.
  • Assistance with data entry of customer applications.
  • Restoration follow-up.
  • Job close outs.
  • Support with miscellaneous office duties (sending out mail, other duties as assigned).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High School diploma, GED, or HSED.
  • Enrolled as a part-time/full-time student pursuing a Technical, Associate, Bachelor, or Master's Degree.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • This position requires you to use your personal vehicle to travel to various worksites throughout the day.

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs. At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
