West Bend Insurance is currently seeking students for our 2026 Summer IT Internship Program!

As a User Experience / User Interface (UX/UI) Designer Intern at West Bend, you will enjoy meaningful experience, one on one mentorship, and the opportunity to work on impactful projects. If you are looking to grow and develop the skills necessary for a future IT role, apply now!

Responsibilities

• Work closely with cross-functional development teams, UX/UI peers, and product management to gather requirements based on business and technical specifications
• Craft intuitive user flows, wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, mockups, and high-fidelity designs using the latest design tools
• Collaborate to ensure the technical feasibility of all UX/UI designs, while producing responsive and accessible layouts that meet user needs
• Solve real business problems as part of an agile delivery team

Preferred Experience and Skills

• Working towards a Bachelor or Associate degree with an emphasis in one of the following areas:
  • Computer Science
  • Graphic, Interactive, or Visual design
• Proficiency in UX/UI Design Tools: Experience with industry-standard design software such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or other tools for creating wireframes, prototypes, and designs
• Responsive and Accessible Design: Ability to create designs that are both responsive across various devices and platforms, and compliant with accessibility standards (WCAG)
• Collaboration and Communication: Ability to work in cross-functional teams and effectively communicate complex design concepts to non-designers, including stakeholders and developers
• Front-End Development Knowledge: Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Enjoys working as part of a team
