Job Summary
In this role, you’ll take ownership of sophisticated reinsurance accounting activities, serve as a subject matter expert, and help shape how we continuously improve our processes.
Work Location
This is not a remote position. Candidates who are located within 50 miles of our West Bend office location will work a hybrid schedule (at least 3 days/week) for collaboration days, team meetings or other in-person events.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
About the Opportunity
Are you an experienced reinsurance or insurance accounting professional who enjoys digging into complex transactions, improving processes, and mentoring others? Join our Reinsurance team as a Senior Reinsurance Analyst, where you’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and efficient reinsurance accounting while partnering closely with finance, actuarial, and business stakeholders. In this role, you’ll take ownership of sophisticated reinsurance accounting activities, serve as a subject matter expert, and help shape how we continuously improve our processes.
Key Contributions
- Lead the analysis and processing of complex reinsurance transactions, including premiums, losses, recoverables, and settlements
- Oversee reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting related to reinsurance agreements
- Serve as a subject matter expert on reinsurance accounting standards and internal controls
- Prepare documentation and support audits and regulatory reviews
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and lead implementation efforts
- Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve issues and support strategic initiatives
- Mentor and develop Reinsurance Analyst I and II team members
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning related to reinsurance
Capabilities that Matter
- 4–6 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a strong focus on insurance or reinsurance
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial systems
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and lead initiatives
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Salary Statement
The salary range for this position is $100,000-$115,000.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. Compensation decisions are made by West Bend and are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
