What You Will Contribute:

This Sr. Engineer, Electronic, is responsible for all aspects of electronic engineering related to product design and support for analog and digital circuitry and MCU programming in C. Sr. Engineer provides oversight of maintenance activities for a product line and/or acts as new product development project engineer or as a project lead engineer for other projects. Acts as a mentor to other engineers.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. Electrical/Electronic Engineering with 5 to 10 years experience, or equivalent.
  • Experience with analog circuit design and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of C embedded programming.
  • Familiarity of scripting such as Bash, Octave, or Python a plus.
  • Knowledge of proper grounding techniques, shielding and noise suppression a strong plus.
  • Experience with digital circuit design and digital I/O.
  • Experience with mixed-signal circuit board layout and circuit characterization using EDA and simulation tools.
  • Competency with design test and validation methods, using data acquisition and statistical analysis tools.
  • Communication and documentation skills required to effectively interface with management.
  • Experience with serial communications (USB, RS-232/422/485, I2C, SPI) a plus.
  • Strong design and analytics skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to drive projects to completion.

Major job duties/accountabilities:

  • Sustaining engineering - Provides oversight of maintenance activities for a product line
  • Acts as NPD or other Project lead engineer
  • Ensures company procedures are followed (self and mentees)
  • Defines the scope of a task/project
  • Develops or provide input to schedules and budgets
  • Executes to schedule/budget to meet targets
  • Defines and controls product designs
  • Directly responsible for product/process performance
  • Manages business system entries - BOM, routing, item master
  • Manages engineering change processes
  • May be accountable to lead Project Manager or Principle Engineer.
  • Ability to determine risk and define mitigation methods
  • Communicate status and solutions to management
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-discipline team
  • Ability to define the resources and time to complete projects
