What You Will Contribute:

The Badger Meter Internship Program provides hands-on, real-world experience to students through projects that make a difference! In addition to your projects, you will be given the opportunity to participate in our robust Intern program focused on Badger Meter Culture, professional development, community outreach and a final capstone project.

The SaaS / Self-Service Specialist Intern will support the Customer Care team in driving adoption, onboarding, and operational excellence within Badger Meter’s Self-Service Portal and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platforms. This intern will gain hands-on experience in customer onboarding, service unit pricing set-up / maintenance, registration automation, and adoption analysis while contributing to projects that improve the self-service customer experience. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a cross-functional environment, collaborating with Customer Care, Sales, and Product teams to enhance customer success through technology-enabled service delivery.

This will be a summer internship at our Milwaukee facility.

Essential Job Duties

  • Onboarding Campaigns: Assist in developing and executing onboarding communications and workflows for new customers in the Self-Service portal.

  • Service Unit Pricing Set-up and Maintenance: Create pricing record and maintain price changes. Validate pricing against contract, quote, and price books.

  • Registration Automation: Support automation of account creation, registration updates, and data validation activities within Salesforce and other internal systems.

  • Adoption Analysis: Collect and analyze customer adoption and usage metrics, prepare reports to track engagement and identify improvement opportunities.

  • Operational Support:

    • Help process SaaS service unit orders and maintain accurate records.

    • Assist in troubleshooting customer onboarding or portal registration issues.

    • Contribute to updates of software pricing, account records, and process documentation.

  • Process Documentation: Draft and update training guides, process flows, and FAQs to improve portal usability and team efficiency.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with Customer Care team members, contributing to cross-departmental initiatives focused on automation, customer support, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Communication, or a related field.

  • Strong technical/computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Exposure to CRM or ERP platforms (Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, etc.) preferred.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
