What You Will Contribute:

Are you a results-driven leader who thrives in an autonomous environment and is passionate about driving operational excellence? We are seeking a Production Supervisor to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong leadership skills with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to make impactful decisions on the fly.

About the Role

As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple manufacturing departments, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining high-quality standards. You’ll lead by example, empower your team, and implement innovative solutions that enhance productivity and safety. This is a hands-on leadership role where your ability to coach, delegate, and drive change will make a measurable difference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and Inspire: Provide clear direction, coaching, and development opportunities to hourly employees, fostering a culture of accountability and engagement.
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Monitor workflow, productivity, and quality standards using operational metrics and on-the-floor presence. Identify and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement: Utilize lean manufacturing principles to develop and execute solutions that reduce waste, improve safety, and enhance overall performance.
  • Collaborate and Communicate: Partner with managers and peers to share insights, recommend improvements, and align on production goals.
  • Ensure Compliance: Maintain adherence to safety regulations, company policies, and labor agreements while promoting a safe and organized work environment.
  • Develop Talent: Conduct performance evaluations, manage training programs, and build a flexible, skilled workforce prepared for future challenges.

What We’re Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years in manufacturing operations with prior supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong decision-making and critical thinking abilities.
    • Proven track record of leading teams in a union environment.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing conditions.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with manufacturing software systems.
    • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
