What You Will Contribute:
Are you a hands‑on leader with a passion for building high‑quality products and guiding teams to success? As a Lead Assembler, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving production across multiple product families. This position is more than just assembly—it’s about leading people, shaping processes, and ensuring excellence in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
You’ll be the bridge between employees, management, and sales, making sure daily assembly requirements are met while fostering collaboration and continuous improvement. From coordinating workflows and training new team members to serving as the go‑to resource for assembly and quality questions, this role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on both the team and the customer experience.

This will be a first shift role (7:00am - 3:30pm Sunday-Thursday) at our Racine facility.
Job Duties:
Coordinates the day-to-day operation by leading and directing a group of employees to assure a smooth workflow; Organize, schedule, and coordinate workloads and staff to meet production schedule.
Reads and follows specifications and other instructions in order to build and assemble products and examining completed work to detect defects and verify conformance to work orders, correct any problems

Provide a thorough technical understanding of production and assembly practices.
Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures
Acts as liaison, representing the team in general; point of contact for general assembly and quality control questions
Trains new employees and instructs employees on the proper use of equipment and tools
Display strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate with Managers, Planning and Customer Service.

Provide input to improve assembly processes with a focus on safety, quality, on-time delivery and cost.
Education and Experience:
High School Degree/GED required
5+ years of experience in assembly/leadership desired
Qualifications:
Lean 101 training preferred
Experience in a Lean environment preferred
Experience with electronic assembly required
Demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude along with the ability to read prints and measure parts while maintaining a customer-focused mentality required
Ability to work extended hours and occasional weekend shifts as needed required

Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a Manufacturing environment
Depending on the assigned department, must be able to demonstrate the ability to lift up to 60 pounds and complete an audiogram test
Those working in the Aerospace department must be able to pass a Vision, Color Vision, and Depth perception test
This position requires good manual dexterity, coordination and stamina.
Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day.
