What You Will Contribute:
The Badger Meter Internship Program provides hands-on, real-world experience to students through projects that make a difference! In addition to your projects, you will be given the opportunity to participate in our robust Intern program focused on Badger Meter Culture, professional development, community outreach and a final capstone project.
Badger Meter is hiring a Project Management Intern. The Project Management Intern will be responsible for providing support on all projects managed by the Project Management Office (PMO); such as Turn-Key, Infrastructure, Meter Installations and Consulting Badger Meter projects. These projects may include multi-million customer projects that have high internal & external visibility. Primary areas of responsibility will be tracking and maintaining the consignment inventory levels balanced with monthly reporting requirements, performing Quality Assurance/Quality Control on meter installations utilizing WOMS (Work Order Management Systems) as well as helping with the utilization of the Salesforce Platform.
Essential Job Duties:
Along with the Associate Project Manager work to understand project contractual obligations, particularly with respect to product ordering, shipping and inventory management
Supports the PMO with PO Requests, Vendor Set Ups, PO Amendments, and consignment inventory process
Work alongside Project Managers to conduct Monthly, Quarterly and Year End Inventory Reconciliations for all Turn-Key Projects, and provide regular status reports on inventory levels as required
Documents all work in a timely and accurate manner – this includes but is not limited to email, meeting minutes, trip reports, along with all project related updates
Assist in engineering tests or evaluations as required such as Drive by Coverage Testing for Endpoints and other projects as assigned which may include travel
Works in conjunction with the PMO Manager to request and coordinate assistance from Marketing, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Sales in resolving product performance issues
Communicates all suggested and/or required literature, procedure, and policy updates to the PMO Manager to assure the highest level of project management success
Interfaces regularly with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Quality, Accounting and Customer Service to develop optimum and approved resolutions to open issues
Willingness to learn or experience in Access, Salesforce, Beacon, ERP, or JIRA
Qualifications:
Currently pursing Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related field
Ideally Freshman or Sophomore (2028 or 2029 graduate)
Intermediate computer/technical skills in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook)
