Summary

Work closely with the Program Director to coordinate the daily administrative activities of the program. Provide support to the team to facilitate the achievement of the program's goals.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and oversees daily residency program activities, including educational events, resident recruitment, orientation, scheduling, graduation, and faculty/resident development activities.

  • Maintain proficiency in accreditation, board and/or institutional requirements. Manage activities related to these requirements to ensure full compliance with a high degree of independence.

  • Guide the Designated Institutional Official, Program Director, Clerkship Director, Department Chair and/or other leaders on issues related to the requirements from accreditation agencies, national boards and/or affiliated institutions.

  • Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including faculty, residents, sponsoring institutions, partnering organizations, and national governing bodies.

  • Oversees the creation, maintenance, and strategic design of databases used to track resident progress, scheduling, licensure, evaluations, milestones, and program reporting.

  • Serves as the program’s subject-matter expert on accreditation standards, partnering with leadership to ensure continuous compliance status.

  • Coordinate recruitment of preceptors, instructors and speakers for the residency program.

  • Partnership with faculty on the development of educational and recruitment materials such as handbooks, brochures, and other program resources.

  • Coordinate assessment and evaluation activities with a high degree of independence.

  • Monitors and manages the residency education budget, balancing institutional priorities and program needs.

  • Provide high-level administrative, logistical, and problem-solving support to residents and faculty.

  • Maintains effective communication and collaboration across multiple institutional relationships.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of Graduate Medical Education (GME)

Qualifications

Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.

Minimum Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree

Minimum Required Experience: 5 years

Preferred Experience: 5 years related experience

Physical Requirements

Work requires occasionally lifting moderate weight materials, standing, or walking continuously.

Work Environment

Occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids. Work is performed in an environmentally controlled environment.

Sensory Acuity

Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication required. May occasionally require the ability to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects.
