Education Program Coordinator II - Academic Support and Enrichment

Summary
Execute assigned program activities and coordinate daily administrative and program activities of academic enrichment programs and services to support student success.
Primary Responsibilities
Work closely with the Academic Support and Enrichment team to monitor and improve student academic progress on all campuses (Central Wisconsin, Green Bay, Milwaukee) and all programs (e.g., MD, Pharmacy, Master of Science in Anesthesia, Graduate)
Provide meeting and progress notes for student issues at all campuses/programs to the program manager.
Coordinate and provide logistical support and technical support to all academic student services programs for learning events and activities.
Work with Program Manager, other Program Coordinator, Learning and Media Services, and online schedule for scheduling, organizing, monitoring and maintaining scheduling and educational sessions with systems at MCW.
Contribute to development and implementation of new supplemental educational programs to meet the needs of students.
Support activities related to accreditation requirements to ensure full compliance with a high degree of independence.
Serve as secondary liaison with faculty, administration, other MCW departments, affiliated institutions, outside institutions and national organizations.
Contribute to the design and creation of brochures, podcasts, flyers, handbooks and other educational materials.
Knowledge – Skills – Abilities
Knowledge of adult learning theory, needs assessments, curriculum development and evaluation, emerging trends and best practices in education and professional development, teaching methods, techniques/styles, learning styles, coaching, consultation, project management and cultural awareness.
Knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws, rules, regulations in higher education.
Knowledge of learning theory and higher education, adult learners and post-secondary professional students.
Qualifications
Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.
Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree
Minimum Required Experience: 3 year’s
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Educational Psychology, School Counseling, Curriculum Development, Training or related field. Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field
Preferred Experience: 3 years of experience providing tutoring support, study skills assistance, time management strategies or other learning support instruction. Experience working with students experiencing academic challenges.

Physical Requirements
Work requires occasionally lifting moderate weight materials, standing, or walking continuously.
Work Environment
Occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids. Work is performed in an environmentally controlled environment.
Sensory Acuity
Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication required. May occasionally require the ability to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects.
