Education Program Coordinator I - Medicine

Summary
Under close supervision, provide administrative, operational, and programmatic support for residency Quality Improvement (QI) education and Graduate and Undergraduate Medical Education (GME/UME) activities. The role works closely with program leaders, faculty, and learners to support the day-to-day coordination of education initiatives, maintain accurate data and reporting, facilitate effective communication, and ensure consistent and reliable program operations.
Primary Responsibilities
Implement program activities (e.g., educational events (Grand Rounds), training, learner recruitment and, interviews, orientation, schedules, UME SEL’s, retreats, and graduation).
Maintain working understanding of accreditation, board, and institutional requirements. Coordinate and monitor activities related to these requirements to ensure full compliance.
Support Program Directors or other leaders on issues related to the requirements of accreditation agencies, national boards, or affiliates.
Serve as a liaison and collaborate with Program Directors, coordinators, trainees, division leadership, and Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals (MCWAH).
Maintain database(s) to track, schedule, record activities, monthly evaluation, Qualtrics surveys, satellite credentialling, duty hours, and on-call schedules related to the institution, program(s), and learners.
Provide information, support, and problem solving for leaders, faculty, and staff.
Coordinate the onboarding and orientation process for trainees. Perform standard orientation for new trainees.
Create brochures, flyers, handbooks, and other educational materials.
Coordinate assessment and evaluation activities.
May monitor program budgets.
Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge of computers, clerical procedures, customer service standards, collaboration, and information management.
Organization, time management, interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills.
Qualifications
Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.
Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree
Minimum Required Experience: 2 years

Physical Requirements
Work requires occasionally lifting moderate weight materials, standing, or walking continuously.
Work Environment
Occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids. Work is performed in an environmentally controlled environment.
Sensory Acuity
Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication required. May occasionally require the ability to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects.
