Summary

Manages finances, personnel, and resources for the Divisions of Endocrinology and Molecular Medicine and Rheumatology to ensure goals are met in a timely and effective manner. Responsible for the day-to-day administration and operations of the divisions’ clinical, educational, and research programs, collaborating with the Unit Executive Administrator/Department Administrator, Financial Unit Director, and central unit teams. Maintains an environment conducive to peak performance in all areas of operation.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provides various office and location support activities.

  • Identifies, enhances, and follows specific processes and procedures to maximize the efficiencies of the business unit to which the support is being provided.

  • Ensures correct functioning of facilities, office and/or business support services.

  • Develops and prepares budgets and analyzes financial information.

  • Directs operations and allocates people, material, and financial resources to ensure operational efficiency.

  • Manages office services and operations across both divisions, including preparation of reports, analyses, and other business services.

  • Oversees operational activities of both divisions to ensure efficiency and compliance with the department and institution’s policies and procedures.

  • Partners with department leadership and provides strategic planning and business development recommendations.

  • Responsible for fiscal operations across both divisions, including recruitment, hiring, training, disciplinary action, and performance evaluation processes.

  • Aligns divisional practices and collaborates to develop program materials, education materials, marketing materials, and division reports.

  • Collaborates with Medical Directors and clinical manager/director partners as part of the clinical management system to ensure effective clinical effort deployment, access optimization, and efficient operations.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Budget Responsibility: ~$16M Revenue

  • Employee Responsibility: Staff – 42; Faculty – 38

  • Division Oversight: 2 Divisions

Qualifications

Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.

Minimum Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree

Minimum Required Experience: 8+ years

Physical Requirements

Work requires occasionally lifting moderate weight materials, standing, or walking continuously.

Work Environment

Occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids. Work is performed in an environmentally controlled environment.

Sensory Acuity

Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication required. May occasionally require the ability to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects.
