Summary

Under close supervision, Provide primary coordination for the fellowship programs within the Department of Medicine, Educational Programs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Independently execute institutional or program activities (e.g., educational events, training, learner recruitment, interviews, orientation, schedules, and graduation).

  • Maintain proficiency in accreditation, board, and institutional requirements. Coordinate and monitor activities related to these requirements to ensure full compliance.

  • Support the designated institutional official, Program Director, Department Chair, and other leaders on issues related to the requirements from accreditation agencies, national boards, and affiliates.

  • Serve as primary liaison with faculty, administration, other departments, affiliated institutions, and national organizations.

  • Develop and maintain database(s) to track, schedule, and record activities related to the institution, program(s) and learners.

  • Provide information, support, and problem solving on a wide range of issues for leaders, faculty, staff, and learners.

  • Coordinate recruitment of preceptors, instructors, and speakers.

  • Create brochures, flyers, handbooks, and other educational materials.

  • Coordinate assessment and evaluation activities.

  • May monitor program budgets and lead or oversee the work of support staff.

Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree

Minimum Required Experience: 3 year’s

Physical Requirements

Work requires occasionally lifting moderate weight materials, standing, or walking continuously.

Work Environment

Occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids. Work is performed in an environmentally controlled environment.

Sensory Acuity

Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication required. May occasionally require the ability to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects.
